These are some baby onions just poking through the surface. These ones were destined to be put out in the garden to grow into fine yellow onions.

Smaller than regular strawberries, but larger than a wild strawberry, yet still with that intense wild strawberry flavour, alpine strawberries are a delicious fruit. They also make a hardy, decorative landscaping plant. Easily controlled since they do not spread by runners.
